Can a co-owner of property purchase that same property in a tax title sale?
The co-owner would not obtain any greater ownership interest in that property than the co-owner held before the tax title sale. Pursuant to
La. R.S. 47:2163 , an owner or co-owner may pay the statutory impositions plus interest and costs due at the time of the tax sale. The purchase of tax sale title to property at a tax sale by an owner or co-owner of the property shall be deemed a redemption.
