Can I accept a late payment?

If the winning bidder is unable to make the payment deadline, it is up to the Sheriff to decide whether they will accept a late payment.

The payment terms for every Sheriff Sale are listed clearly on our SRI website, on Zeus, and are handed out prior to an in person sale. We always instruct bidders that if they are unable to comply with the payment terms, they should not bid on a property. If a winning bidder does contact you because they are unable to pay on time, it is at your discrection whether you will allow them to pay late, though we do not recommend it.
