What amounts will I receive in the event the property I bought in a tax title sale is redeemed during the redemptive period?
Redemptions are made through the tax collector of the appropriate political subdivision. The amount required to redeem includes the purchase price of the tax sale title, plus a five percent (5%) penalty on the purchase price, plus interest on the purchase price at the rate of one percent per month until the property is redeemed, plus all statutory impositions assessed upon the property subsequent to the tax sale, including interest and penalties. The tax collector will promptly remit the redemption payment to the tax sale purchaser thereafter. The buyer will be reimbursed for subsequent statutory impositions, including property taxes, paid by the buyer during the redemptive period and prior to the redemption.
