What if I don’t pay my winning bids?

If you submit a bid which results in you winning the auction for a specific property, failure to

pay for your winning bid will result in your ban from participation in any future Shelby County,

Tennessee tax sales. You may, however, petition the judge in the court overseeing the sale to

request reinstatement. The Shelby County Trustee also reserves the right to pursue other actions

against any bidders who fail to pay, including but not limited to holding bidders in contempt of

court for interfering with a court-ordered sale.
