Which government officials are responsible for tax sales?

The Shelby County Trustee collects county taxes and some municipal taxes, and files the

delinquent tax lawsuit annually. The City of Memphis Treasurer collects Memphis municipal

taxes. Once the court orders a tax sale as part of the delinquent tax lawsuit, the auction is

conducted by the Chancery Court Clerk & Master.
